Join Our Watershed Stewardship Grant Review Committee
Land Stewardship Centre's Board of Directors is currently seeking additional individuals to serve on its Watershed Stewardship Grant (WSG) Review Committee.
The purpose of the WSG Review Committee is to review grant applications (in a specified grant round, typically annually), allocate funding to eligible applicants and provide knowledge and support to WSG recipients as required.
This is a volunteer position and committee members are appointed for a three-year term. At a minimum, committee members must be prepared to commit time and effort to reviewing eligible applications and participating in the grant application review meeting to select grant recipients for a specified grant round. From time to time, committee members may be asked to participate in additional meetings in support of the WSG Program.
Qualified individuals representing non-government organizations, First Nations and Metis communities, industry, Watershed Planning and Advisory Councils, watershed stewardship groups and government agencies from across Alberta are invited to apply.
Eligible candidates will have:
- Previous grant review experience
- Knowledge of watershed stewardship and community-based stewardship groups in Alberta
- A focus on detail and be committed to meeting deadlines
- Strong computer skills
- Experience with online collaboration/productivity platforms
- The ability to communicate effectively with individuals and/or groups
