Dave Kay

Dave is an environmental professional with over 25 years experience in wildlife conservation and management. Graduating with an Honours BSc from the University of Guelph, Dave began his career with the Canadian Wildlife Service in Yellowknife, conducting waterfowl research and inventory projects throughout Boreal and Arctic Canada. Dave subsequently joined Ducks Unlimited Canada where he progressed through multiple biological and management roles over a twenty year career there.
Currently, Dave works for the Fish and Wildlife Policy Branch of Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resource Development. The scope of Dave’s responsibilities has afforded him the opportunity to gain first hand knowledge of the interrelationships between wildlife populations, their habitats and the economic, social and environmental considerations required to develop sustainable solutions to wildlife management issues.
