Brenda Gheran
President and Chair of the Board
A proud second generation Canadian and ‘farm kid’ from northern Alberta, Brenda is a dedicated life-long learner. Her formal education includes MacEwan’s Advertising and Public Relations and the University of Alberta Extension Human Resources programs.
Brenda’s work experience includes the forestry and petrochemical industries, as well as local government. Since establishing an independent consultancy in 2003, she has focused on the magic of multi-stakeholder relations and collaborative partnerships for advancement and innovation in the areas of emergency management, air quality, land/water conservation and use (which in her opinion are all connected).
Currently, she is the Executive Director of Northeast Region Community Awareness Emergency Response, a mutual aid emergency response organization that brings together the finest minds at industry and municipal first responder agencies for the greater good in Alberta’s Industrial Heartland region (Canada’s economic engine).
In the spirit of ‘mutual aid’ Brenda looks forward to contributing to and learning from Land Stewardship Centre as it evolves to meet the challenges and opportunities of the future, to fulfill her personal combined goals of peace and harmony for future generations.
