Jodie Hierlmeier

Jodie is a lawyer with the Government of Alberta. She has spent most of her legal career practicing environmental law in the government or not-for-profit sector in Edmonton. Her legal practice spans numerous areas including water law, hearing/administrative law, regional planning, and environmental assessment.
Jodie holds a LL.B. from Dalhousie University with a specialization in environmental law, and a B.Sc. from the University of Alberta with a specialization in zoology. She was a sessional instructor with the University of Alberta from 2008 to 2020, where she taught two undergraduate courses on environmental law. She continues to be a guest lecturer for various environmental law courses at the university level.
